Empty Recent Documents List

Many Windows compliant programs automatically establish a shortcut to the last accessed file in the Start Menu "Documents" or "Recent Documents" list.

To use Shortcut Doctor to purge all items in the list, press the Clear Recent Documents button or select "Empty Recent Files" from the Actions Menu. A confirmation prompt is provided before any items are deleted. Deletions are routed to the Recycle Bin.

Tip: If you wish to remove some but not all items from the Documents list, you can specify the "Recent" folder in the path field on the Shortcut Doctor Main Window and use the Delete Button. The location of the Recent folder (subdirectory) varies by operating system so please check the documentation for your Window version for more information about the location of the "Recent" folder.
